The J9SOX Golf day is based on a Ryder Cup format event where the players are split into one of two teams.
TEAM A - Will always be the side of the J9 Foundation whose patron and J9SOX Captain is Mr Joost van der Westhuizen himself (participating in spirit as a non-playing captain).
TEAM B- Each year in the J9SOX Tournament to date, the opposing team has been named after a 'Captain of Industry' within the UAE.
Since 2013 the J9SOX event has been honored to have the following Capatins
2013 - Team Horan (George Horan of Dubai Duty Free)
2014 - Team Rix (Mark Rix, CEO of 7DAYS Newspaper)
2015 - Team Taylor (Kez Taylor, CEO of ALEC)
2016 - Team Chapman (Gary Chapman, President Group Services & Dnata - Emirates Group)
